fx-7000GA Circuit Board

The Casio fx-7000GA and the fx-7000G have identical electronic construction from the inside. As you can see, the electronics are on a rigid double-sided Printed Circuit Board (PCB). There is a flexi ribbon cable on the main board, which connects to another board with the main chip. There is also another ribbon cable from the Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) to the main board. It is surprising how Casio has managed to pack all the components into this very thin calculator.

Switch Contacts

The switch contacts etched on the PCB save much space and cost. It seems to work very well.
